 1. Olive Oil for Dry Hair

Olive oil is one of the oldest and most popular home remedies for dry hair. The vitamin E and antioxidants present in it help to moisturize and heal dry and damaged hair. You can also use olive oil as hot oil to treat your hair, restore moisture and add shine to your dry hair.


  • Olive oil
  • Shampoo
  • Hair conditioner
  • A warm towel
  • A small bowl


  • Add olive oil required for your hair length in a small bowl.
  • Warm the olive oil in a microwave.
  • Rub the warm oil thoroughly over your hair shafts and scalp. Then gently massage your scalp for about 10 minutes.
  • Use a warm towel to cover your hair and leave the oil on your hair for at least 30 minutes.
  • Lastly, use your favourite shampoo and conditioner on your hair.
  • Finally, shampoo and condition your hair with products suited to your hair type.

  • 2-5 tablespoons of Plain yoghurt depending on your hair length

  • Apply the yoghurt on your hair and scalp.

  • Leave for about 30 minutes.
  • Then use a mild shampoo and lukewarm water to wash off.
  • Repeat once in a week at the beginning and increase to once every 2-3 weeks along the line.

  • 1 ripe and peeled Avocado
  • Egg white made from 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon of coconut, olive, castor or jojoba oil

  • Aloe Vera leaf
  • 2 tablespoons of Fenugreek powder
  • 2 tablespoons of Castor oil
  • Shower cap
  • Shampoo
  • 2 tablespoons of Basil powder
  • Lukewarm water


  • Extract ½ cup of aloe Vera gel from the Aloe Vera leaf.
  • Add 2 tablespoons each of basil powder, fenugreek and castor oil to the Aloe Vera gel and mix it well.
  • Apply the hair mask thoroughly to your scalp and hair.
  • Leave the mask on for about 8 hours. So it is better to apply the mask at night and sleep with it overnight wearing a shower cap.
  • Use a mild shampoo and lukewarm water to wash the mask off your hair in the morning.

  • 1 or 3 eggs depending on your hair length

  • Lemon juice will eliminate foul smell and oil will make the egg mask more hydrating.

  • Shower cap
  • Shampoo

  • Lukewarm water


  • Apply ½ cup of honey to your hair after washing it and it is still damp.

  • Cover your hair with a shower cap.
  • Leave on for about 30 minutes.
  • Rinse your hair using lukewarm water.
